Stage your own Comic murder mystery event!

‘If you go down in the woods today you’re sure of a big surprise’. It’s time to find out what bears really get up to out in the woods in this pantomime-style mystery. The search is on for a genuine ‘cereal’ killer!

‘Who’s Been Eating My Porridge?’ is a whodunit very loosely based on the fairy tale ‘Goldilocks’. It’s a ‘mystery’ rather than a ‘murder-mystery’, but the riddle is still no easier to solve than any other murderplays title. The Three Bears return to their cottage after a morning in the woods, only to find that their breakfast has been stolen. But which of the strange characters lurking inside their house is guilty of its theft? The pot thickens! Could it be…
‘Goldilocks’, who tradition would lead us to think did it?
The aging, forgetful ‘Fairy Godmother’?
Clueless, ‘Simple Simon’?
The handsome, dashing ‘Prince Charming’?
Sweet and innocent, ‘Red Riding Hood’? Or…
Mischievous ‘Pinocchio’?
Who’ll be thrown out to meet their fate with the Big Bad Wolf at the end?
‘Who’s Been Eating my Porridge?’ is a comic romp which parodies the story of ‘Goldilocks’ and a host of other fairy tale characters. It’s a one hour, three act play for 9 actors which has a playful, tongue in cheek feel to it. In true pantomime tradition, all of its parts can be played by either male or female performers. The piece has proved repeatedly popular with Primary Schools and Drama Groups searching for a quirky alternative to their annual pantomime. (It’s also a piece that’s regularly been performed by both adults and youngsters.)
